On the 25th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that County Governor Lee Byeong-no presented the excellent case of achieving "nationwide first place" last year at the "National Assembly Forum for the Activation of the Hometown Love Donation System" held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building.
At the forum hosted by National Assembly member Lee Gae-ho, who spearheaded the Hometown Love Donation System, Governor Lee presented the main achievements to the members of the National Assembly and related officials, sharing vivid voices from the field operating the system.
Governor Lee analyzed that the swift formation of a dedicated team and thorough preparation, including discovering various return gifts targeting small donors who accounted for 92% of all donors contributing 100,000 won or less, accurately grasping the purpose of the system, led to the nationwide first-place achievement.
The forum also discussed the operational direction of the newly introduced designated donation system this year and the promotion direction of related fund projects, as well as future operational strategies and policy directions such as changes in the return gift industry and the introduction of private platforms.
Governor Lee emphasized, "The Hometown Love Donation System has created a miracle that can overcome the population extinction crisis through policies that supplement the low financial independence of basic local governments and provide practical help to the daily lives of local residents," adding, "We will continue to utilize the system as a new growth engine for the region through various leading policies."
