Muan-gun to Implement Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project Next Year

Recruitment of 3,000 People, an Increase of 260 Compared to the Previous Year

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it will recruit 3,000 participants for next year's Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project, an increase of 260 people compared to the previous year, to promote healthy and active senior lives. The number of recruits by project is 2,403 for the Senior Public Interest Activity Project, 330 for the Senior Capacity Activity Project, 167 for the Community Project Group, and 100 for the Employment Support (Employment Placement Type) Project.


The Senior Public Interest Activity Project is a job that contributes to the promotion of public interest in the local community, targeting low-income seniors aged 65 or older who receive basic pension or occupational pension, and provides an activity allowance of 290,000 KRW per month (30 hours of activity per month).

The Senior Capacity Activity Project utilizes seniors' skilled techniques, expertise, and experience, targeting those aged 65 or older (some 60 or older), and provides an activity allowance of 760,000 KRW per month (60 hours of work per month, including weekly holiday allowance).


The Community Project Group is a job aimed at product sales and service provision by seniors, targeting those aged 60 or older, with working periods, hours, and wages varying according to the labor contract.


The Employment Support (Employment Placement Type) Project connects individuals with relevant work abilities to demand sites based on their requirements, providing a certain wage during the working period. It targets those aged 60 or older, with working periods, hours, and wages varying according to the labor contract.


Those wishing to participate in the projects can apply by visiting the town or township offices or the New Town Support Group from December 3 to 9.


For the Senior Capacity Activity Project, Community Project Group, and Employment Support (Employment Placement Type) Project, participant applications and selections will be conducted by executing agencies from December 9 to 13. Selection criteria are based on high scores according to type, including recognized income amount, activity capacity, and household composition. Recipients of livelihood benefits, workplace health insurance subscribers, long-term care insurance grade assessors, participants in two or more job projects from other ministries, and foreign nationals residing in Korea are excluded.


Governor Kim San stated, “We will actively strive to expand senior job projects that provide income security and opportunities for social activity participation for seniors.”
