Yeonggwang-gun, Raymond Kim Invited for 'Chalbori Cooking Class' Receives Positive Response

35 Members Participate in Rural New Vitality Plus Action Group

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, received great response on the 25th by hosting the 'Yeonggwang Chalbori Cooking Class' with invited star chef Raymond Kim at the first-floor community experience room of Chalbori Eoultre.


According to the county on the 26th, the event was held under the theme of 'Cooking Using Chalbori' with star chef Raymond Kim, who served as a culinary advisor for 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' and the Netflix hit 'The Chef Show,' along with 35 members of the Rural New Vitality Plus Action Group.

In particular, during the cooking class, Chef Raymond Kim directly explained in an easy-to-understand manner the recipes he developed using chalbori rice produced in Yeonggwang, such as Chalbori Banana Pancakes, Chalbori Shrimp Risotto, and Borisu, allowing participants to cook them hands-on.


A participant in the cooking class praised, "I am happy to have learned how to make risotto using chalbori," adding, "The method is very easy, and the taste is excellent, so I think I will make it often at home."


A county official said, "This cooking class was a special opportunity to experience a new transformation of Yeonggwang's excellent chalbori rice," and added, "We will continue to provide various educational programs utilizing Yeonggwang chalbori."
