The Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Dongmyung University announced on the 26th that among its eight clubs, the prospective youth leader planning group ‘Cheongkkaeguri’ recently received the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Award at the ‘2024 Busan Youth Volunteer Competition.’
Cheongkkaeguri is a name created by combining ‘Cheong’ (awakening the consciousness of youth) + ‘Kkae’ (breaking existing molds to engage in autonomous and creative activities), and it is a prospective youth leader planning group. Cheongkkaeguri (led by Yookwangho) was established in 2019 and, as of November 2024, collaborates with a total of 22 youth organizations in the Busan area to produce promotional videos and card news, actively informing local youth about youth organizations.
They have actively volunteered at various youth activity sites such as supporting experiential activities at the 29th Geumryeonsan Festival, operating booths at the Dongnae District Youth Center’s Eoullim Madang, the Geumryeonsan Youth Center Creative Contest, and the BIG Experience Event.
Vice Leader Choi Haein said, “It is an honor to receive an award for the efforts of Cheongkkaeguri members, including myself, who worked hard. I will strive for even more valuable experiences.”
Following this, Vice Leader Oh Chaeyoung expressed, “I am happy to receive such a meaningful award while gaining various experiences with the Cheongkkaeguri members.”
Currently, Cheongkkaeguri (advised by Professor Park Sooyoung) includes senior students Yookwangho, Kim Dohee, Lee Hwanhee, Jung Suin, Kim Yeonjeong, Yeon Hyeji; juniors Oh Chaeyoung, Choi Haein, Jung Dongkyum, Jung Seongmin, Park Seojin, Lee Seongju; sophomores Yoon Jaewon, Oh Jaemin, Je Hyojin, Lee Junghae; and freshmen Lee Jiwon, Cha Seojeong, Shin Soyeon, Kim Hyunseo from the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology. They are actively engaged in the field of youth leadership.
Kim Minjeong, head of the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology, said, “Through the activities of the eight major clubs within the department, students not only contribute to the local community but also play a significant role in growing as prospective counselors, clinical psychologists, and youth leaders.”
