AI·SW Project Deliverables Exhibition, Employment Information Provision, and 24 Programs Across 6 Zones
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 26th that it successfully held the ‘2024 SW Innovation Week (INNOVATION WEEK)’ event.
This event was co-hosted by Dong-A University and Busan City with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) under the SW-Centered University Project. It was organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and IITP.
Held at the College of Engineering Building 5 on Seunghak Campus from the 11th to the 15th, the event was composed of various programs aimed at understanding the development trends in AI and SW fields, providing employment information, and exhibiting graduation projects and project outcomes of students from departments participating in the SW-Centered University Project.
The event featured a total of 24 programs across six zones (Achievements, Competitions, Employment, Lectures, Promotion, Events). Programs such as the ‘Fair Day Graduation Project Exhibition,’ ‘DUGC Graphics Competition,’ ‘Employment Special Lectures and Consulting,’ ‘Industry-Academia R&D Project Exhibition,’ ‘AI and SW Professionals’ Special Lectures,’ ‘48-hour Hackathon,’ and ‘Graduate Students’ Open Lab’ attracted significant attention.
With over 3,700 participants, students expressed their satisfaction, saying, “It was beneficial to learn trendy information,” “Seeing students’ projects motivated me,” “I was able to gain know-how by attending lectures from hard-to-invite experts,” and “It was great to share ideas using good technology.”
Additionally, a joint awards ceremony for various competitions held during the event provided a platform for cooperation and communication, celebrating achievements and inspiring motivation to seek new challenges and ideas.
Professor Lee Seok-hwan (Department of Computer and AI Engineering), head of the SW-Centered University Project, stated, “Dong-A University is nurturing AI and SW talents based on the 3-Ex (Experience-Experiment-Exhibition) competency growth model. We will continue to hold AI and SW events aligned with technological changes and trends to lead Busan’s digital convergence.”
