Osan-si Installs Smart Bus Shelter at Osan Station Transfer Center

Equipped with Heating and Cooling Systems and Fine Dust Reduction Facilities

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that it has installed a 'Smart Bus Shelter' at Osan Station Transfer Center for winter public transportation users.

The 'Smart Bus Shelter' is a public convenience facility designed to respond to environmental factors such as heatwaves, cold waves, and fine dust. The city installed heating and cooling systems as well as fine dust reduction facilities inside the shelter so that citizens can wait for buses in a comfortable environment even during severe cold weather.

Osan Station Transfer Center is a busy area where Line 1 Osan Station and the bus terminal are concentrated, with an average of about 7,000 daily bus stop users. The city expects that the installation of the smart bus shelter will improve the convenience of using public transportation.

Lee Kwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "We installed the smart bus shelter early to prepare for the inconvenience and cold faced by public transportation users," adding, "We will continue to prioritize citizens' safety and convenience and improve the public transportation environment."
