Honam University announced on the 26th that Park Min-ji, a senior researcher at the Startup Incubation Center, was selected as an outstanding contributor in the startup incubation sector and received the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Director Award at the ‘2024 Gwangju·Jeonnam·Jeju Startup Incubators Night’ event held recently at the Sweet Hotel in Namwon, Jeonbuk.

The ‘Startup Incubators Night’ event was organized by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Startup Incubation Council to encourage the efforts of contributors and new technology entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the activation of new technology startups this year.

Senior Researcher Park Min-ji obtained the Startup Incubation Professional Manager certification issued by the Korea Business Incubation Association and has been recognized for her contributions to startup activation over the past three years since 2021, including discovering promising venture companies and supporting resident companies. She also contributed to Honam University BI Center being selected as an ‘Excellent (S grade) Institution’ in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ operation and management evaluation.

Established in 1999, the Honam University Startup Incubation Center is an incubation institution that provides incubation space, management technology guidance, and information to early-stage startups with technology and ideas to increase their success rate. It received an S grade in the Small and Medium Business Administration’s operational evaluation for three consecutive years since 2021 and was also selected for the ‘BI Remodeling Support Project.’
