The story of a woman who suffered sexual crimes from her stepfather since elementary school sparked outrage among netizens.

Recently, MBC's 'True Story Exploration' reported on the story of Ms. A, who was abused by her stepfather from the age of 8 and eventually dropped out of school. She met her stepfather when her mother remarried around the time she was 5 years old. Then, in the first grade of elementary school, she was caught by her stepfather meeting her maternal grandmother in front of the school, which marked the beginning of the abuse.

Ms. A explained, "I was beaten about 3 to 4 times a week," adding, "It was not just discipline; anyone could see it was abuse. I was often on edge, not knowing when or how a hand would strike me." When she turned 11, her stepfather began committing sexual crimes against her, which continued even after she entered high school.

Unable to endure it any longer, Ms. A left home during her second year of high school and supported herself through part-time jobs. When her mother learned of the abuse belatedly, she apologized, saying, "I'm sorry and feel guilty," and encouraged her to "live well."

Thirteen years later, while living an ordinary working life, Ms. A received a lawsuit from her stepfather seeking to confirm the non-existence of a parent-child relationship. Ms. A said, "What my stepfather wants is for me to give up the inheritance," and added, "When I filed a complaint against him for forgery and sexual crimes, he withdrew the lawsuit but filed it again last June." Ms. A's lawyer explained, "The statute of limitations does not apply to sexual crimes against those under 13 years old," and added, "It is possible to file complaints for all the forced molestation, rape causing injury, and rape causing harm that Ms. A suffered." Furthermore, the lawyer predicted, "Because Ms. A's testimony is detailed and credible, it is highly likely that the charges will be recognized and a guilty verdict will be delivered."

Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as "He is truly not even human," "This kind of person should not be released into society," and "Worse than an animal."
