Eugene Group Major Affiliates Receive 'Red Cross Membership Merit Award' Side by Side

Yujin Group announced on the 26th that its major affiliates, including the group's parent company Yujin Enterprise, Yujin Investment & Securities, and Dongyang, received the 'Red Cross Member Meritorious Award' from the Korean Red Cross.

The Member Meritorious Award is a decoration awarded by the Korean Red Cross to individuals or organizations that have contributed to humanitarian activities. It is awarded in categories such as the Grand Honorary Medal, Honorary Medal, Grand Honorary Badge, Honorary Badge, Gold Medal, and Silver Medal based on the cumulative donation amount.

Among Yujin Group affiliates, Yujin Enterprise, Yujin Investment & Securities, and Dongyang received the Honorary Medal, while Yujin Leisure (Pureunsol GC Pocheon) and Donghwa Enterprise (Pureunsol GC Jangseong) received the Grand Honorary Badge. This Member Meritorious Award was given in recognition of their active engagement in various social contribution activities in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross.

Yujin Group started the year with a donation ceremony, contributing a total of 1 billion KRW, 500 million KRW each to the Korean Red Cross's '2024 Red Cross Membership Fee Fundraising Campaign' and the Community Chest of Korea's 'Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign.' The donation ceremony marks the ninth year of Yujin Group's representative social contribution activity, with cumulative donations reaching approximately 2.9 billion KRW.

A portion of the funds donated to the Korean Red Cross was used to create a 'Forest of Giving' for the restoration of damaged forest ecosystems. In April, Yujin Group, along with related organizations such as the Korea Forest Service and the Korean Red Cross, and fundraising companies, planted 6,000 native Korean plants at the National Chuncheon Forest Experience Center. In February of last year, Yujin Group also donated 200 million KRW through the Korean Red Cross to support relief and reconstruction efforts for the earthquake damage in T?rkiye and Syria.

A Yujin Group official said, "We are pleased that our efforts to strengthen ESG management have been recognized," adding, "In line with our management philosophy of 'creating new value with creative talents and serving human society,' we will continue to practice sharing management."

Meanwhile, Yujin Group conducts community-based social contribution activities nationwide, centered on its major affiliates such as Yujin Enterprise, Yujin Investment & Securities, and Dongyang. In recognition of these efforts, the group was named a 'Sharing Excellence Company' by the Community Chest of Korea in 2020.
