This event is one of the activities of the Asia Police Education Institutions Alliance, marking its 6th edition since its inception in 2016. The Asia Police Education Institutions Alliance is a multilateral cooperative alliance established in 2017 to broaden exchanges with police education institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, 34 institutions from 19 countries are active, with the Korean National Police University serving as the chair and secretariat.

The festival is expected to provide a forum for 62 students and instructors from police education institutions in 9 Asian countries to discuss ways to enhance educational cooperation.

An "International Student Security Academic Conference," where research papers on Asian security issues will be presented, is also scheduled. Among the 13 teams from 6 countries participating in the conference, 6 teams from 4 countries that advance to the finals after paper review will compete for a scholarship of $2,200. The conference is expected to encourage police trainees' research in the field of security.

Oh Moon-gyo, president of the Korean National Police University, said, "If police trainees who will grow into security experts in Asia gather every year to build knowledge and friendship, the level of future Asian police cooperation will greatly improve." He added, "The Korean police also expect to strengthen protection of overseas nationals and jointly respond to transnational crimes such as cybercrime through a solid human network."
