Industrial Water Treatment Brand 'Trilight' Website Revamp
Support for AI Chatbot and Design Program
Samyang, a leader in the industrial water treatment materials sector, is establishing a new information support infrastructure and providing customized solutions for domestic and international customers.
On the 26th, Samyang announced that it hosted customers at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, unveiling the revamped website for its ion exchange resin brand 'TRILITE' and the AI-powered chatbot 'Trigent (TRILITE AI Agent)'.
Ion exchange resin is a synthetic resin in granular form, approximately 0.3 to 1 mm in size, essential for producing ultrapure water (extremely pure water with impurities removed and ion content close to 0%) used in cleaning semiconductors, displays, and electrical and electronic products. Samyang was the first to domestically produce this material in 1976 and remains the only Korean company manufacturing it. Recently, it has gained attention as a core material in the government’s initiative to localize ultrapure water production.
The newly revamped TRILITE website features the AI chatbot 'Trigent,' allowing visitors to receive desired information simply by entering questions without needing to search manually. By training the conversational AI 'Chat GPT' with Samyang’s 50 years of accumulated ion exchange resin technical data, users can obtain not only product information but also recommendations for ion exchange resin products based on applications, process characteristics, and technical data. Notably, the system is updated in real-time to always provide the latest information and supports services in over 100 languages worldwide, including English, Chinese, and Japanese, in addition to Korean.
Through the revamped website, Samyang also offers two types of water treatment design software called 'TriAngle.' TriAngle designs water treatment systems with optimal combinations according to users’ applications and requirements. Previously, only the ion exchange resin design program was available, but the updated website now additionally supports a program for designing reverse osmosis (RO) membranes.
With the customized solutions developed this time, Samyang plans to provide one-stop services for building water treatment systems to its customers and further expand its presence in global markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
Kang Hoseong, CEO of Samyang, said, "With the AI-enabled website and design programs, we expect to improve information accessibility and offer customers optimal products and designs for building water treatment facilities. We plan to continuously implement digital transformation, a core task of Samyang Group’s R&D, to provide more innovative services to domestic and international customers."
