Participation of 33 Public Institutions and 120 Excellent and Innovative SMEs to Support Entry into the Public Market
The Technology Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced that it successfully held the 'SME Technology Market Public Institution-Innovative Product Matching Day' on the 26th at the 2nd Exhibition Hall of the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, to support innovative product-designated companies under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in entering the public procurement market.
TIPA is a specialized institution under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups responsible for technology development and manufacturing innovation, operating various programs to promote the commercialization of research and development (R&D) outcomes of small and medium enterprises. In particular, the innovative product designation system is a project that supports technology-developing SMEs in pioneering initial public market channels.
The Matching Day event, a meeting place for public institutions participating in the SME Technology Market and SMEs that have succeeded in R&D, has been held annually since 2021. This year, 33 public institutions and over 120 SMEs actively participated, attracting attention with one-on-one purchase consultations, exhibitions and promotions of excellent products from 43 companies, and innovative product pitching by 16 companies.
Jung Sun-wook, Head of the Business Foundation Division at TIPA, said, "TIPA operates various programs not only for technology development of SMEs but also for achieving commercialization results," adding, "We hope this event will be an opportunity for SMEs with excellent innovative products to enter and successfully settle in the public procurement market."
