Transported to Hospital in Cardiac Arrest but Ultimately Passed Away

An elementary school student riding a bicycle in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, was fatally struck by a village bus making a left turn.
On the 25th, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating a male village bus driver in his 60s, Mr. A, on suspicion of violating the Special Act on the Treatment of Traffic Accidents (causing death) related to the previous day's incident. Mr. A is accused of hitting a teenage male cyclist, Mr. B, on a road in Siheung-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, at around 7:15 PM the day before.
At the time, Mr. A was making a left turn from the first lane when he collided with Mr. B, who had entered the road. Mr. B was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away.
No signs of alcohol or drug use were found in Mr. A. The accident location was determined not to be a children's protection zone (school zone). The Geumcheon Police Station has booked Mr. A on charges of causing death under the Special Act on the Treatment of Traffic Accidents and is investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
