Urgent Call for Effective Comprehensive Measures Including Early Detection and Proactive Intervention in Child Abuse

Starting her speech with the question, "Do you know what day November 19th is?" Councilor Lee Kyung-hee explained the motivation for her 5-minute free speech by saying, "This day is 'Child Abuse Prevention Day,' and I stand here to raise awareness and interest among the citizens of Guri about child abuse."
She continued by emphasizing that children are precious beings who should be protected, respected, and grow up happily and safely. To create a safe Guri City free from child abuse, she urged the city administration to establish effective comprehensive measures such as ▲ expanding events commemorating Child Abuse Prevention Day ▲ education and publicity for child abuse prevention ▲ early detection and proactive intervention of child abuse.
Councilor Lee Kyung-hee stated, "To make Guri City a place where children's rights are respected and children can enjoy a happy life, the interest of all of us is necessary," and added, "I hope the city administration will actively review my policy proposals to create a better living environment for children and a safe Guri City free from child abuse."
