Mayor Bang Se-hwan: "We will continue to strive to ensure robust social security policies are effectively implemented"

At this meeting, the 2025 annual implementation plan (draft) of the 5th term (2023?2026) Regional Social Security Plan was presented as an agenda item. The meeting finalized the promotion strategies for a total of 43 detailed projects, including 10 sectors in the social security field, and sought sustainable development directions through reviewing performance indicators and performance goals for each project.
Gwangju City presented the core tasks of the 2025 annual implementation plan as follows: “Opportunities and challenges of urban growth due to population increase, preparation of measures to strengthen the social safety net in response to entering an aging society, support for youth entrepreneurship and revitalization of youth culture, strengthening the capabilities of Gwangju citizens through expansion of lifelong learning infrastructure, and improvement of transportation conditions and convenience of public transportation use.”
Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, “The Regional Social Security Plan is an important procedure and blueprint for Gwangju City to develop into a better place to live. We will continue to make efforts to ensure that the 2025 annual implementation plan is executed as a solid social security policy for Gwangju City.”
