Contribution to Quality Improvement and Productivity Enhancement of Small and Medium Enterprises

Professor Yoon Hyupsang of the Department of Software Convergence at Daegu Catholic University received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups at the '2024 Small and Medium Enterprise Technology and Management Innovation Exhibition' held at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center on the 14th.

Professor Yoon developed a single-board microcontroller system for immersive content control and an automatic hole processing system for insert steel assembly used in mold manufacturing through the Startup Growth Technology Development Project.

This achievement was highly evaluated for realizing technological innovation based on cooperation between the university and local small and medium enterprises, contributing to quality improvement and productivity enhancement of SMEs.

In particular, the project involved qualified industry-academia-research coordinators who were responsible for technology matching, analyzing the technical needs of companies and connecting them with suitable research teams.

Professor Yoon Hyupsang stated, “The systematic technology matching by industry-academia-research coordinators is helping companies achieve successful research and development (R&D), and I hope that continued collaboration with SMEs will contribute to the development of the local economy.”
