Mayor Kim Bora "Will Overcome Crisis with Active Investment"
Gyeonggi-do Anseong City has prepared a budget of 1.0879 trillion KRW for next year, an 8.13% increase compared to this year.
On the 25th, Anseong Mayor Kim Bora submitted the next year's main budget proposal with this content at the city council plenary session and explained the direction of city administration through a policy speech.

The budget proposal submitted by the city for next year consists of 1.0739 trillion KRW in the general account and 14 billion KRW in the special account. Mayor Kim explained that based on meticulous forecast analysis, the focus was placed on revitalizing the local economy, restoring people's livelihoods, and enhancing welfare.
The general account budget proposal by sector includes ▲Health and Welfare 403.8 billion KRW ▶Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Industry 93.6 billion KRW ▲Agriculture 125.5 billion KRW ▲Education 32.2 billion KRW ▲Safety 10.1 billion KRW ▲Urban and Environment 128 billion KRW ▲Road and Transportation 77.7 billion KRW, etc.
The city presented the following as key policies for next year: ▲Revitalizing the low-income economy such as expanding the living wage ▲Building a strong and detailed welfare safety net ▲Strengthening the cultural tourism industry utilizing local resources ▲Responding to climate change and increasing agricultural added value ▲Establishing an Anseong-tailored education model ▲Expanding safety facilities and enhancing citizen protection ▲Expanding urban infrastructure and securing leisure spaces in daily life ▲Guaranteeing citizens' mobility rights through expanded transportation services.
In his policy speech, Mayor Kim stated, "Despite government tax revenue shortfalls, export sluggishness, and economic recession, the city has achieved results such as the full-scale semiconductor industry, expansion of residential infrastructure, strengthening of public transportation, expansion of care services by generation, revitalization of local tourism, and securing the largest-ever national and provincial subsidies."
He added, "The next year's budget proposal embodies the will to overcome the current crisis with more proactive investment without shrinking due to the recession and to prepare for a bright future," and "I will do my best to create and fairly implement the right policies for Anseong's development."
Mayor Kim also said, "We will cultivate innovation and change before 200,000 citizens to create an Anseong that looks forward to tomorrow more than today and an opportunity-filled Anseong where everyone prospers together."
The city's main budget for next year is scheduled to be finalized at the city council plenary session held on the 19th of next month.
