The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 26th that it will hold the "2024 Korea-International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) Amendments and Revisions Briefing" on the 5th of next month at the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Financial Supervisory Service building in Yeouido, Seoul, targeting corporate accounting practitioners and external auditors.
This briefing will provide information on accounting standards amendments, Q&A cases, overseas trends, and other accounting standards-related matters. It will also cover important points regarding the internal accounting control system, the external auditor appointment and designation system, and other accounting systems that participants need to be familiar with.
Pre-registration will be accepted through the websites of the Korea Listed Companies Association, KOSDAQ Association, and the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Due to limited seating, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 350 participants.
Educational materials will be distributed on-site on the day of the event. They will also be available for download on the FSS website after December 3rd.
An FSS official stated, "Practitioners responsible for related tasks will participate as instructors to support companies and external auditors in timely preparing for the requirements arising from the implementation of new accounting standards and systems."
