Smart Autonomous Object Address Reporting System Equipped with NFC
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that it received the Grand Prize at the '2024 Civil Service Improvement Best Practice Competition' held by Gyeonggi Province on the 22nd at the Ramada Hotel in Suwon.

The city presented under the theme "Help Me! Smart Object Address-NFC 2-Second Reporting System That Protects Me" and won the award. The smart autonomous object address is a facility equipped with a function that allows individuals to quickly notify their location to the police (112) or fire department (119) using only NFC touch without wireless Wi-Fi during emergencies or crisis situations.
Starting with the object address, the city plans to install smart basic number plates in areas with potential crime occurrences based on big data within the jurisdiction next year as part of the CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) project.
Lee Kwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, stated, "We plan to establish an organic reporting system utilizing the smart address information system in collaboration with related agencies such as the police station and fire department," adding, "We will continue to promote so that citizens can report emergencies quickly."
