Namu Securities Establishes Itself as a Comprehensive Asset Management Platform
Pension Savings, IRP, and ISA Account Assets Increase by 80% Since the Beginning of the Year
Differentiated by Being the First in the Industry to Introduce the Service
NH Investment & Securities' mobile service brand, 'Namu Securities,' is enhancing customer satisfaction by strengthening services that meet diverse investment demands from a comprehensive asset management perspective.
According to NH Investment & Securities on the 28th, Namu Securities is establishing itself as a comprehensive asset management platform based on the customer's life cycle, rather than just a simple trading platform. It is showing rapid growth in the so-called three major tax-saving accounts: pension savings, Individual Retirement Pension (IRP), and Individual Savings Account (ISA). As of the 22nd of this month, the assets under management for these three accounts reached 4.5 trillion KRW, an 80% increase compared to the beginning of the year. Namu Securities considers these three accounts as core accounts for customers' lifetime asset management and supports services and content accordingly.
In particular, differentiation through various services introduced for the first time in the industry supports Namu Securities' growth. NH Investment & Securities, which has established itself as an absolute leader in the 2024 tender offer market, introduced the industry's first online tender offer subscription system. This eliminated the inconvenience of having to visit a branch to subscribe to tender offers, thereby expanding the base of the tender offer subscription market. Based on the judgment that enhancing customer convenience through synergy with the Corporate Finance (IB) division improves the company's competitiveness, the online subscription system was proactively introduced. Additionally, NH Investment & Securities is the first in the industry to provide content from the global economic newspaper Financial Times. Using ChatGPT for translation along with expert review has increased reliability and accuracy. This service has received great response as it allows users to easily understand global financial issues and discover related stocks for trading. This demonstrates that Namu Securities is growing beyond a simple trading platform into a knowledge-based investment tool. The chart analysis AI service 'Chabuni,' launched in September, is an innovative service that provides real-time chart analysis by utilizing generative AI’s image recognition function for the first time in the financial sector. The AI explains the charts customers are viewing in an easy-to-understand way and highlights difficult-to-understand analysis points on the charts. Chabuni surpassed 300,000 cumulative users within two months of its launch.
Namu Securities is actively expanding its touchpoints with the younger generation. To communicate with young investors, Namu Securities introduced gamification elements. 'Namu Farm,' launched in September, helps manage and understand investment stocks with a farm-growing concept. Beginner investors can easily grasp investment concepts through the game, enhancing immersion with a screen similar to an actual simulation game, moving away from the rigid securities app interface. 'Namu Pang,' a puzzle game inspired by the watermelon game, changes company logos into logos of companies with larger market capitalizations as they merge, and players compete in rankings based on their final scores. It has attracted great interest from the younger generation, with cumulative users reaching 550,000. Namu Securities also actively supports communication among investors through its own community. Currently, more than 300,000 users are active monthly, showing a growth rate of over 530% compared to the beginning of the year.
An NH Investment & Securities official stated, "Namu Securities continues technological innovation to enhance investor convenience," adding, "We will provide a better investment experience through customized solutions and investment content."
