Jeon Seung-il, Chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, received the "2024 Local Legislative Award for Excellence in Ordinance" at the Seoul Global Center on the 23rd. He is the only recipient among the five district councils in Gwangju.

Organized by the Legal Journal, the "2024 Local Legislative Award" is given to regional politicians who have contributed to the development of local autonomy in South Korea and the improvement of residents' quality of life by evaluating exemplary legislative achievements. The award aims to promote "working local politicians" and enhance public trust.

Chairman Jeon Seung-il stated, "I will continue to engage in legislative activities that contribute to the welfare of district residents through change and innovation, creating a better living environment in Gwangju Seo-gu that residents can truly feel."

Prior to this, Chairman Jeon received awards such as the "Contribution to Regional and Social Development Award," "Korea National Award," "Global Donation Culture Contribution Award," and "Korea Legislative Award."
