Dongmyeong University Student Athletes Participate in Do-ing Extracurricular Activity 'Hwangryeongsan Dodream'

The Do-ing Education Innovation Center at Dongmyung University is continuing the intramural Do-ing extracurricular program “Busan Famous Mountains Hiking, Let’s Climb Together~” to promote one sport activity per student.

Starting from the first semester of the 2024 academic year, in the second semester, every Friday in November, they climbed Hwangnyeongsan Mountain together with Dongmyung University KUSF (Korea University Sports Federation) student-athletes.

The student-athletes passed the summit Sajabong Peak (400 meters above sea level) and reached Bongsudae to enjoy the panoramic view of Busan.

Soccer player Ahn Hyun-hee said, “We will create a great team video of the Hwangnyeongsan hike to challenge for the grand prize and keep it as a good memory of school life.”

Professor Song Sook-kyung of the Do-ing Education Innovation Center said, “While hiking together, we talked about shooting, bowling, soccer, taekwondo, and yachting to build pride among the student-athletes and showed the passion of young people by reaching the summit of Sajabong Peak.”

Director Kwak Eun-joo of the Do-ing Education Innovation Center said, “The student-athletes challenged themselves with hiking, which was unfamiliar to them, encouraged each other to complete the climb with their teammates, and even exchanged greetings with local residents during the hike. We hope that the experiences of challenge and cooperation through the Do-ing extracurricular program will spread and help students build a successful university life.”
