TIPA Holds SME R&D Excellence Achievement Sharing Conference

The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) held the "2024 SME Research and Development (R&D) Excellence Sharing Conference" on the 25th at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.

This event, held for the second time this year following last year, served as a platform to encourage companies selected for outstanding SME R&D achievements and to promote these achievements both internally and externally.

At the awards ceremony for this year's selected outstanding SME R&D achievements, Kim Woo-soon, Director of Technology Innovation Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, presented the Minister of SMEs and Startups Awards to the 50 companies selected for excellent achievements and to individuals and companies recognized for their contributions to the purchase-conditional new product development project.

Additionally, a business agreement ceremony was held with this year's representative investment attraction companies, which have secured investments from Industrial Bank of Korea and Hana Bank, the dedicated banks for SME R&D. The ceremony was attended by TIPA, Industrial Bank of Korea, Hana Bank, and this year's representative investment attraction companies, Basil Company Co., Ltd. and Infinic Co., Ltd., agreeing to work together to strengthen SME competitiveness and financial support.

Kim Young-shin, President of TIPA, stated, "By sharing the outcomes of SME R&D through presentations of excellent cases and exhibitions of innovative products, this event will serve as an opportunity to enhance the innovation capabilities of SMEs and to foster a new leap forward."
