On the 22nd, Dangjin City in Chungnam held a "Visiting Carbon Neutrality Campaign" at Hoban Summit Signature Phase 1 Complex.
This campaign aimed to encourage participation in carbon-neutral lifestyles by promoting the Chungnam-style carbon neutrality point system (Tansoeopshu), as well as exchanging used batteries and milk cartons.
About 100 residents visited the carbon neutrality promotion booth, signed up for the Chungnam-style carbon neutrality point app (Tansoeopshu), and participated in the recycling exchange event.
The city plans to continue conducting "carbon neutrality campaigns" by directly visiting apartment complexes in the future.
The Chungnam-style carbon neutrality point app, "Tansoeopshu," allows users to earn points by practicing and certifying various carbon-neutral activities in daily life, such as using public transportation, using tumblers, and walking.
"Tansoeopshu" can be found and installed via the Play Store or App Store. The points earned can be exchanged for local gift certificates at the end of the year.
Additionally, Dangjin City plans to hold the "Onmaepsi Campaign" on December 5, together with the Dangjin City Council for Sustainable Development, to encourage wearing warm clothing indoors and lowering heating temperatures during winter.
The event will also include a carbon neutrality pledge, promotion of the Chungnam-style carbon neutrality point system, and a recycling exchange event (used batteries and milk cartons), continuing to promote carbon neutrality practices such as energy saving during winter.
A city official stated, "Dangjin City was selected as the nation's leading carbon-neutral city on October 31," and added, "We will continue to discuss and implement various carbon-neutral policies with local residents so that the city can serve as a model for all local governments."
The official also said, "Together with residents, we will do our best to make Dangjin the first city in the country to achieve carbon neutrality by participating in daily practices such as raising air conditioner temperatures, using public transportation, and using reusable containers."
