This volunteer activity was organized to deliver warmth to neighbors struggling with heating during the winter season. A total of 12,000 briquettes were provided, with 600 briquettes each to 20 households. About 20 people, including officials from the Pocheon City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and students and faculty members from CHA University, participated and directly delivered the briquettes to the target households.
A student who participated in the volunteer work said, “I felt proud to be able to give a small help to my neighbors by carrying the briquettes myself. I will continue various volunteer activities as a member of the local community.”
Director Kim Sang-jin said, “I am glad to be able to give neighbors a warm winter through this briquette sharing. The Pocheon City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center will continue to cooperate with CHA University to provide higher quality welfare services.”
Meanwhile, the Pocheon City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center signed a business agreement with CHA University in March to promote social welfare in Pocheon City and is carrying out various welfare projects. It plans to take the lead in enhancing welfare in Pocheon by cooperating with various institutions in the region in the future.
