Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) has opened a new export channel by actively promoting the entry of excellent local food products into the Vietnamese market.

According to Pocheon City on the 25th, on the 22nd, Mayor Baek Young-hyun, Pocheon City Council Chairman Lim Jong-hoon, and 21 representatives of Pocheon food companies visited Hanoi, Vietnam, and signed an agreement to promote the export of Pocheon’s excellent food products with K-MARKET, the largest Korean food distribution company in Vietnam.
They also participated in a promotional event held at K-MARKET Sapphire branch, directly confirming the high interest and positive response toward Pocheon food products.
Sixteen food companies from Pocheon participated in the promotional event, showcasing a variety of products. These included Sungin Natural Farm, MG Food Solution, Sagwa Kkangpae, Jeonghee Food, Seongjin Food, Sincheon Food, Gangdong Pure Food, Matchandeul Baekmi Food, Eodam, Hado Food, Baekho Food, Kkotsem Food, Hyochon Food, Fresco, Idong Galbi, and Seojin Food.
The promotional event served as an opportunity to introduce the charm of Korean cuisine to Vietnamese consumers and to imprint the excellence of Pocheon food companies’ products. Local customers showed interest in Pocheon products and expressed positive reactions, indicating a desire to purchase Pocheon’s excellent food products.
During the event period, the city maintained friendly exchanges not only with K-MARKET but also with Korcham Vietnam, Cham Bit Group affiliated companies, the Hanoi Korean Association, and local buyers. Local buyers responded positively to Pocheon’s products and expressed hopes for continued cooperation.
One local customer said, “I often visit K-MARKET because I am very interested in Korean food. Through this promotional event, I got to know Pocheon and was glad to experience various excellent products. I hope there will be more opportunities to encounter Pocheon products in the future.”
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “We will spare no support for local companies to pioneer overseas markets so that this promotional event will not be a one-time event. We will do our best to ensure that Pocheon food companies are recognized in the global market.”
Meanwhile, K-MARKET is a Korean food distribution company operating over 100 stores in Vietnam and has been selected as one of Vietnam’s top 100 brands.
