Sharing Ideas for Local Cultural Festival Planning
Through Humanities Camp
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 25th that it held a humanities camp at Ubijeong Pension within the Garden Theme Park, organized by the Hapcheon Youth Policy Network.
This camp was organized as an opportunity for young people to present various ideas on the theme of local culture and festivals and to strengthen their network.
At the event, cultural critic Dr. Nam Jeong-sook gave a lecture, providing young people with a new perspective on local festivals and offering time to enhance their planning capabilities.
Additionally, during the discussion on the theme "Local Cultural Festivals Desired by Youth," young participants contemplated local culture, discussed creative planning proposals, and sought ways to contribute to regional development.
Chairman Ahn Tae-young stated, “Through this event, young people were able to share diverse ideas and strengthen communication and cooperation,” adding, “In the future, the creative participation of youth will play an important role in regional development.”
Kim Yong-bae, Director of the Future Growth Vitality Division, said, “This camp provided an opportunity for young people to deeply discuss local culture and festivals and demonstrate their creative planning abilities,” and expressed expectations that “the vision of youth will be a great force for the cultural development and regional growth of Hapcheon.”
Meanwhile, the Hapcheon Youth Policy Network is an organization where youth actively participate and carry out various activities to solve community issues.
