Seoul Global Startup Center Hosts Lunch Meetup
Discussion on Measures to Boost Investment in Foreign Companies
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 25th that it held a 'Foreign Entrepreneur Lunch Meetup' at the Seoul Global Startup Center.
About 40 foreign entrepreneurs attended the event. Through this, they freely communicated on overall inbound policies, including the operation of the Global Startup Center and measures to activate investment in foreign entrepreneurs.
In particular, various topics were discussed, such as 'Measures to Activate Investment in Foreign Companies,' 'Plans to Expand Information Provision and Networking Events for Regional Startups,' and 'Expansion of Workspace and Extension of Operating Hours at the Global Startup Center.'
The Global Startup Center is a comprehensive support center that helps foreign entrepreneurs settle and grow in Korea by providing services such as visa assistance, corporate establishment, partner discovery, and information provision. It has promoted exchange and cooperation with foreign embassies and public institutions more than 10 times and conducted over 100 specialized consultations related to visa acquisition and corporate establishment.
Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, said, "It was a meaningful time to listen to the diverse opinions of foreign entrepreneurs and glimpse their vision," adding, "The opinions gathered at the meeting will be actively reflected in the future formulation of support policies for foreign entrepreneurs."
