The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 25th that it will hold a seminar titled "The History and Future of Accounting" at the FKI Tower in Yeouido on the 29th.
This seminar is held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, under the theme "The History of Accounting in Korea and China and the Future of Accounting." Professors Jeon Seong-ho from the Academy of Korean Studies, Song Xiaoming from Lixin University of Shanghai, China, and Lee Young-han from the University of Seoul will present on the topic, reflecting on the accounting histories of Korea and China and discussing the future direction of the accounting industry.
Choi Un-yeol, Chairman of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, said, "This seminar is an opportunity for our accounting industry to examine the accounting histories of Korea and China, discussing how transparency and trust have been built and how they have contributed to economic growth." He added, "We hope to inform about the changes that new trends such as the digital revolution will bring to the future of accounting, presenting new challenges and opportunities to accountants."
