Now in its 5th year, the Smart Construction Challenge is an event to share achievements in discovering and spreading smart construction technologies, held at KINTEX in Ilsan. The award categories include △Safety Management △Complexes & Housing △Roads △Railroads △BIM (Building Information Modeling). Lotte Construction received Innovation Awards in the Complexes & Housing and Railroad categories.

In the Complexes & Housing category, Lotte Construction submitted the technology ‘Building Technical Experience Asset Data through Digital Construction Management,’ developed together with CMX and Teamwork, and won the Innovation Award. The technology was highly evaluated for its systematic use of process, quality, and safety management through data-based digital construction management, including AI-based drawing management, cloud photo management, and IoT (Internet of Things) ambient temperature monitoring. Through digital transformation, it contributes to establishing a portable, efficient, and safe smart construction site.

Lotte Construction received the Innovation Award in the Railroad category for the 'ICT (Information and Communication Technology)-based Smart Safety Management System' developed for Section 5-1 of the Sinansan Line four-track railway project. To comprehensively manage worker safety in the confined tunnel construction site, an integrated control system was established by applying △Access Control △Location Tracking △Hazardous Gas Measurement △Emergency Broadcasting △CCTV (mobile/fixed/AI) △Downward Alarm System.

A Lotte Construction official said, "We have been developing technologies through collaboration with many specialized companies to strengthen our smart construction technology capabilities," adding, "As this award recognizes the value of our efforts, we will continue researching various smart construction technologies that can be practically used at actual construction sites."
