Last weekend (23rd-24th), the stage of 'Hanwha Classic 2024,' hosted by Hanwha Group, was filled to capacity at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall and concluded successfully. This year, the event invited the Berlin Early Music Academy, representing Germany, and the RIAS Chamber Choir to perform representative choral works by Bach and Handel.
The Berlin Early Music Academy and the RIAS Chamber Choir, praised for their harmony over the past 30 years, captivated the audience throughout the performance period with Baroque masterpieces by Bach and Handel. The RIAS Chamber Choir, which represented West Germany, and the Berlin Early Music Academy, a leader in early music performance in East Germany, began collaborating in 1992, two years after German reunification, establishing themselves as a symbolic musical ensemble of Germany's cultural unification.

At Hanwha Classic 2024 this year, Korean lifetime members of the RIAS Chamber Choir, soprano Kim Mi-young and tenor Hong Min-seop, visited Korea together and demonstrated outstanding teamwork.
Music critic Lee Joon-hyung, who has attended Hanwha Classic since its inaugural year in 2013, commented on this performance, saying, "It was a rare opportunity recently to savor the essence of Baroque vocal works," adding, "The Berlin Early Music Academy, vibrant yet not rough, and the RIAS Chamber Choir, which showcased extremely precise blending, were each excellent on their own, but together they created even greater synergy."
