2nd Place Among 25 Districts in Seoul City Evaluation
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) announced on the 25th that it ranked 2nd among the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul in the '2024 On-site Civil Complaint Response Autonomous District Operation Performance Evaluation' and received the 'Excellence Award.'
The On-site Civil Complaint Response system allows residents to report inconveniences occurring in daily life through the 120 Dasan Call Center or the Seoul Smart Complaint Reporting app. It covers a total of 12 fields and 65 items, including transportation, roads, cleaning, and street maintenance.
The '2024 On-site Civil Complaint Response Autonomous District Operation Performance Evaluation' conducted by Seoul City was carried out from March to September 2024, targeting 25 autonomous districts. It was based on three categories and seven indicators, including on-site complaint handling results, guardian operation, and participation efforts.
Through the 'On-site Civil Complaint Response,' the district handled 122,120 complaints by the end of October this year. Additionally, it operated 'My Neighborhood Guardians,' with 13 residents participating in each dong (neighborhood), proactively resolving 6,605 reported inconveniences. To ensure prompt and thorough complaint handling, real-time monitoring and monthly performance inspections were conducted, reorganizing any deficient or inadequate areas and establishing a solid cooperation system with the departments responsible for on-site complaints.
Furthermore, to encourage active participation of the 'My Neighborhood Guardians,' who directly report inconveniences occurring in daily life, the district promoted 'Visiting Dong Tour Education' and held meetings to stimulate reporting activities. As a result of increasing residents' participation in district administration through joint patrols and other activities, the district received a perfect score in the 'My Neighborhood Guardians Operation' category.
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, "This achievement is very meaningful as it was accomplished by the staff who promptly and accurately resolved inconveniences and the guardian agents who carefully monitored vulnerable elements within the community." He added, "We will continue to do our best to create a pleasant and safe Yongsan-gu."
