Gangdong-gu Opens New Public Parking Lot with 300 Spaces in Cheonho-dong

Gangdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 25th that it will start operating new public parking lots at the Cheonho 2-dong Complex Building and Cheonho 3-dong Public Complex Building to improve parking convenience and traffic conditions in the Cheonho-dong area.

Currently, the Cheonho 3-dong Complex Building public parking lot (Cheonho-dong 555) operates 33 spaces as hourly parking, and the Cheonho 2-dong Complex Building public parking lot (Cheonho-dong 422-12) is scheduled to operate 285 spaces as hourly parking starting from the 1st of next month.

Those who wish to use a monthly parking permit at the Cheonho 3-dong Complex Building public parking lot can apply through the Gangdong-gu Urban Management Corporation website by December 2nd. The monthly parking permit for the Cheonho 2-dong Complex Building public parking lot can be applied for from December 3rd to 17th.

Monthly permit users will be selected through a lottery, and winners can use the assigned parking space for one year from January to December of the following year. The user lottery will be conducted annually.

Kim Jeom-hee, Head of the Parking Administration Division of Gangdong-gu, said, "We expect that the operation of the new public parking lots will greatly improve parking convenience in the Cheonho-dong area," adding, "We will continuously monitor the usage status of the parking lots and gather residents' opinions to create a better parking environment."
