Launched on the 7th, ‘Iksio’ is an AI-based service that provides features such as ▲Visible Call ▲Answering Calls on Your Behalf ▲Real-time Voice Phishing Detection ▲Call Recording and Summarization in an on-device environment. LG Uplus users with iPhone models released after the iPhone 14 can use the service for free.

As of the 16th, Iksio exceeded 100,000 downloads and is recording an average of about 5,000 downloads daily, making it likely to reach 300,000 downloads by the end of the year.

On the first day of its release, the app ranked number one in downloads across all app categories in the App Store and continues to maintain a high position in popularity rankings. A YouTube advertisement video created around Iksio achieved 2 million cumulative views within 15 days of its release.

Analysis of Iksio users’ usage patterns showed that the call recording and summarization feature for iPhone calls was the most used. The next most popular feature was ‘Visible Call,’ which converts voice call content into text using AI.

The real-time voice phishing detection feature identified about 6,000 suspected voice phishing calls within two weeks of launch and helped prevent user damage through alert messages.

LG Uplus plans to expand the scope of the Iksio service in the future. The service will be extended to iPhone models released before the iPhone 14, and a service for Android devices is planned for development next year.

Lee Seok-young, head of LG Uplus Mobile Service Tribe, said, "We will continue to enhance features and services so that more customers can have differentiated experiences through Iksio."
