Support for Social Enterprises in Climate and Environmental Fields
Interest-Free Loans and More... Discovering Over 3,000 Talents
LG Electronics received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award in recognition of its efforts to nurture social enterprises in the climate and environmental sectors. As part of practicing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management vision, "Better Life for All," the company has operated the "LG Social Campus" for over 13 years, discovering more than 3,000 talents in social enterprises.

On the 24th, LG Electronics announced that it was selected as an "Outstanding Company for Activating Public-Private Cooperation in Social Enterprises" and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award at the Social Enterprise Day event held on the 22nd. The event, hosted by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, was organized to discover exemplary cases of public-private cooperation in social enterprises and to foster a favorable ecosystem for social enterprises.
LG Electronics was recognized for its efforts in operating the LG Social Campus for over 13 years to promote the healthy independence of social enterprises and expand the ecosystem base.
The LG Social Campus is a program operated since 2011 by LG Electronics and LG Chem to support the growth of social enterprises. So far, it has discovered 186 companies and over 3,000 talents. It supports social enterprises in various ways, including interest-free loans and emergency funding, talent development and human resource building, creation of stable working spaces, productivity improvement consulting, overseas training, and corporate visits.

Since 2020, the company has been operating the "Leading Green Accelerating Program." The program consists of business model advancement, service design, distribution marketing, and impact investment investor relations (IR) sessions. It provides practical assistance to accelerate corporate growth.
A representative case is "Green Continue," an eco-friendly material company using agricultural by-products that developed cactus leather for the first time in Korea. Green Continue participated as the 13th cohort of the LG Social Campus last year, receiving professional acceleration, customized consulting, and dedicated mentoring. It has achieved results such as winning the Prime Minister’s Award at the Agricultural Food Startup Contest in September.
