Meeting with Assemblymen Seo Samsuk, Jeon Jongdeok, and Park Heeseung to Explain Current Issues
Hwasun County Governor Gu Bok-gyu met with Assemblyman Seo Sam-seok (photo left) at the National Assembly on the 22nd to request budget support for pending projects. Hwasun County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that County Governor Gu Bok-gyu visited the National Assembly on the 22nd, meeting with Assemblymen Seo Sam-seok and Jeon Jong-duk (Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, Food, and Maritime Affairs Committee) and Assemblyman Park Hee-seung (Health and Welfare Committee) to explain local key projects and request national budget support for 2025.
The main projects include ▲75 billion KRW for the establishment of the Korea Orchid Industry Complex ▲10.2 billion KRW for the development of a regional specialized industrial complex following the early closure of the Korea Coal Corporation Hwasun Mining Site ▲5.9 billion KRW for the Vaccine Safety Technology Support Center project.
Governor Gu has continuously visited the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the National Assembly to actively explain and propose urgent core projects requiring budget support within the region for next year’s national budget. This visit to the National Assembly reflects his determination to directly explain and resolve county administrative issues.
Governor Gu emphasized, “I fully explained the county’s administrative issues and requested cooperation to ensure the smooth progress of our major projects next year,” adding, “I plan to continue visiting central government ministries and the National Assembly frequently to secure the national budget and do my best until the final budget is compiled.”
