Busan Urban Brand Partners Collaborate on Own and New Products... Design Goods and Specialized Content Development Cooperation

Busan City and the Busan Design Promotion Agency have formed partnerships with 28 companies and organizations to increase awareness of the city brand ‘Busan is good’ and revitalize the local economy.


The city recruited ‘Busan Brand Partners’ companies twice to maximize the promotion of the city’s brand, and after a transparent and fair evaluation process, a total of 28 companies were finally selected.


‘Busan Brand Partners’ are companies and organizations that share the value and vision of the Busan city brand and collaborate to promote mutual growth. They will cooperate in various fields such as developing fan merchandise (goods) using the Busan city brand, branding, and marketing.


The 28 selected ‘Busan Brand Partners’ companies come from diverse local industries including food, fashion, design, crafts, and distribution. Each company will develop fan merchandise (goods) and content applying the Busan city brand to their products, reflecting their unique characteristics.


Food companies such as ▲‘Samjin Food’ ▲‘Deokhwa Food’ ▲‘Gijang Saramdeul’ will introduce products combining the city brand with Busan’s representative foods like fish cake, pollock roe, and seaweed. ▲‘Momos Coffee’ ▲‘Suan Coffee Company’ will launch drip bag coffee, and ▲‘Adela7’ will release city brand biscuits.


Various design-specialized companies, including the smartphone accessory design firm ▲‘Slash B Slash’, will develop attractive design products embodying the value of the Busan city brand and engage in activities to promote the city brand.


In addition to producing fan merchandise (goods) for simple sales, they will actively cooperate in developing specialized content and sponsorships leveraging their expertise.


▲‘Sejung Group’ will donate clothing using designs that reflect Busan’s culture and identity, utilizing the city brand to lead the realization of social value where companies and the community coexist.


▲‘Onggolchan Saramdeul’ will produce digital twin content, and ▲‘Lotte Shopping Gwangbok Branch’ will promote the city brand through various methods such as operating a pop-up store.


▲‘BNK Busan Bank’ contributed to promoting the Busan city brand by launching on the 13th the ‘Busanira Jota Big Savings Account,’ a regionally specialized financial product linked to local attractions and tourist sites.


Kim Yujin, Director of the City’s Future Design Headquarters, said, “We deeply appreciate the 28 partner companies who have joined with passion for the Busan city brand,” adding, “Going forward, our city plans to discover cooperative relationships with local companies in various fields and promote diverse projects to further enhance the brand’s value.”


The Busan brand shop ‘Big Shop (Busan is good Shop),’ which exhibits and sells various fan merchandise (goods) using Busan’s city brand, will open on the 25th on Gwangbok-ro, Jung-gu.
