"Ballet Gala Concert with Yeoju Ballet Dream Trees" is led by Director Kim In-hee, the founding director of Seoul Ballet Theater who moved to Yeoju and is promoting the charm of ballet there, and world-renowned choreographer James Jeon as the artistic director. The concert will feature masterpieces considered the essence of classical ballet such as "The Nutcracker," "Don Quixote," and "Le Corsaire," as well as modern and original creative ballet works like "Bach's Concerto Harmony" and "The Crane." This performance, blending classical and contemporary styles, is expected to convey the diverse artistic appeal of ballet to the audience.

What makes this performance even more special is that it showcases the results of students from local elementary schools in grades 3 to 6 who have thoroughly learned the basics and performance movements under Director Kim In-hee and choreographer James Jeon during the Yeoju Youth Ballet School, which ran for three months from summer to autumn.

These children will share the stage with professional ballerinas and ballerinos, marking an important milestone in their futures as they deepen their love for ballet and potentially decide to pursue it as a career beyond a hobby.

Lee Soon-yeol, Chairman of the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, "Many famous cultural and artistic figures have settled in Yeoju as their second home, and Director Kim In-hee and choreographer James Jeon are representative among them. We collaborated on this ballet school and performance with the hope that these individuals will generously share their talents to spread art in the region. The high-quality instructors have received great satisfaction from parents, and the children are very pleased with the meticulous teaching." He added, "We hope the audience enjoys the elegance of ballet through professional dancers like those from the Universal Ballet Company and supports our children’s honed skills during this performance."

Meanwhile, information about this performance and various programs of the foundation can be found on the Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation website.
