According to the industry, YouTube has introduced a policy to restrict activities of teenage users. This move follows Instagram and Meta, which have been criticized as major causes of teenage social media (SNS) addiction, implementing regulatory measures on teenage activities.

As regulations tighten on YouTube and Instagram, which are popular among teenagers, there are expectations that TikTok, which had relatively limited influence, could gain a secondary benefit. TikTok is evaluated as providing relatively more freedom of content to teenagers.

Meanwhile, FSN’s affiliate GiftLetter has been exclusively supplying mobile coupons to TikTok Lite, the app-tech version of TikTok, since 2021. Users can exchange points earned through inviting TikTok friends for mobile coupons from GiftLetter.

FSN has also actively collaborated with TikTok in its advertising marketing and commerce business areas. Its subsidiaries Adqua Interactive and Next Media Group managed TikTok’s 'TikTok #CoupleLog Campaign,' planning advertisements and events targeting couples aged 18 to 25. Additionally, TikTok has been utilized in marketing for various clients such as CJ Olive Young, Yuhan-Kimberly, Subway, and LG Uplus. Boosters also actively use TikTok for accelerating partner brands, notably executing short-form campaigns centered on TikTok, achieving over 10 million total views within one month of campaign operation.
