Yeoju City Holds 2nd Party-Government Consultation Meeting of 2024

Discussion on 17 Major Projects Including Local Food Complex Cultural Center

On the 20th, Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province held the 2nd Party-Government Council meeting with National Assembly member Kim Seon-gyo after seven months. About 50 people attended the meeting, including Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, National Assembly member Kim Seon-gyo, officials from the People Power Party, provincial and city council members, and public officials.

At this meeting, discussions were held on 17 major projects, including ▲ the establishment of a local food complex cultural center ▲ construction of Yeoju City’s comprehensive waste treatment facility ▲ installation of odor reduction facilities at the food waste resource recovery site ▲ expansion of the National Road No. 70 from Icheon Baeksa to Yeoju Heungcheon to four lanes ▲ promotion of new metropolitan bus routes in Yeoju City. In particular, in-depth conversations took place regarding the expansion of National Road No. 70, the promotion of new metropolitan bus routes, resolving Yeoju City’s current issues, and securing national funding for 2025.

National Assembly member Kim Seon-gyo stated, “I will frequently visit central government departments with the goal of reflecting Yeoju City’s core projects as much as possible. I will discover good policies and successfully implement them to promote Yeoju’s development and improve the quality of life for Yeoju citizens.”

Through this meeting, Yeoju City and the People Power Party’s Yeoju-Yangpyeong County Party Committee pledged to cooperate and communicate for the development of Yeoju City and the happiness of its citizens.
