GTX Pocheon Attraction Promotion Committee Launches Nationwide Citizen Signature Campaign

The GTX Pocheon Attraction Promotion Committee launched a citywide signature campaign to attract the GTX on the 21st.

The GTX Pocheon Attraction Promotion Committee is an organization composed mainly of local businesspeople, citizen representatives, and heads of institutions and organizations. Expressing a strong will to attract the GTX-G line to Pocheon City, the committee held its inaugural ceremony in October and held its first general meeting on the 19th to begin full-scale activities.

The signature campaign will be conducted until December 13, centered on Chairman Lee Min-hyung and about 50 promotion committee members.

The committee plans to promote the necessity and importance of attracting the GTX to Pocheon through visits to companies and various events, encouraging citizens to participate and carrying out signature activities.

Chairman Lee Min-hyung said, "Now is the time to show the united will of Pocheon citizens," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the GTX-G line is definitely included in the '5th National Railroad Network Construction Plan,' scheduled to be finalized in June next year, and to lay the groundwork for attracting the GTX to Pocheon City."

The GTX Pocheon Attraction Promotion Committee plans to strive for regional development and expansion of transportation infrastructure in Pocheon City through various internal and external activities such as visits to related organizations including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Gyeonggi Province to reflect the GTX-G line in the '5th National Railroad Network Construction Plan,' a New Year's sunrise event praying for the attraction of the GTX, and resolution rallies.
