Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu, Holds Communication Time with 'Praise of the Month' Employee

The organizational culture improvement program 'Cafe Mujigae' in Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) is leading continuous innovation through new operational methods and programs for an open organizational culture.

On the 21st, Mayor Kim Dong-geun encouraged the employees selected as the 'Compliment Recipients of the Month' by citizen recommendation and discussed boosting morale and improving the work environment.

At Cafe Mujigae that day, Mayor Kim said, "Our city employees are entrusted with important tasks that directly affect the lives of citizens," adding, "The gratitude and encouragement from citizens give great strength to the employees and serve as motivation to provide better services."

He also emphasized, "Through open dialogue platforms like Cafe Mujigae, we will actively listen to employees' difficulties and strive to improve the work environment."

An employee who attended the event said, "I am very happy and feel rewarded to have the opportunity to hear the compliments from citizens directly from the mayor," and added, "I will continue to do my best to provide better services to the citizens."

Cafe Mujigae is taking the lead in fostering an open organizational culture through various initiatives. The November meeting also played an important role in enhancing a sense of belonging and motivation within the organization by encouraging and communicating with each other.

The city plans to continue its efforts to create an open organizational culture through Cafe Mujigae, now entering its third season.
