Children's Rehabilitation Medical Center Inspection and Communication Session Held

The Environment and Welfare Committee of Gwangju City Council announced on the 22nd that it visited Honam Regional Rehabilitation Hospital on the 21st, toured the site, and had a time of communication with the institution's officials.

This site visit was conducted to check the progress of the construction of the Public Children's Rehabilitation Medical Center and to identify the causes of the continuous deficits at Honam Regional Rehabilitation Hospital by reviewing the status of bed operations.

The committee members who visited the site comforted the patients, encouraged the hospital officials, and discussed ways to improve the poor hospital environment. They also urged that the currently delayed Public Children's Rehabilitation Medical Center be opened smoothly by early next year.

Choi Ji-hyun, Chairperson of the Environment and Welfare Committee, said, "We thank the officials who are struggling to operate the hospital under difficult conditions," and added, "We hope they will strive to improve management to resolve the deficit, and the City Council will also take an interest and provide necessary support for the revitalization of the hospital."
