An Additional 938 Victims Recognized in Jeonse Fraud... Total Now 24,668

On the 22nd, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that during the three full meetings of the Jeonse Fraud Victim Support Committee held over the past month, a total of 1,823 cases were reviewed, and 938 cases were finally approved as victims of Jeonse fraud.

Specifically, there were 938 approved cases, 520 rejected cases, 144 dismissed objections, and 221 cases excluded from application. Among the total approved cases, 875 were new applications, and the remaining 63 were individuals who had not been recognized as victims in previous reviews but were confirmed to meet the victim criteria upon objection and were recognized as Jeonse fraud victims this time. The excluded cases were those where the full deposit refund was possible through guarantee insurance or priority repayment, and the rejected cases did not meet the requirements.

So far, the committee has cumulatively approved 24,668 cases as Jeonse fraud victims. The total number of urgent suspension requests for light and public auctions is 916. A total of 2,803 objections have been received so far, of which 1,349 were accepted and 1,347 were dismissed. The remaining 107 are under review.

Tenants who have received a notice of non-recognition or have been determined as Jeonse fraud victims can file objections, and even if the objection is dismissed, they can seek relief through reapplication if circumstances change in the future.
