Attended the Opening Ceremony of the 'Rapid Integrated Planning Exhibition'
"Expecting Evaluation as a 'Turning Point' for Seoul Housing Supply"
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced on the 21st that he will provide full support to ensure that the Rapid Integrated Planning, Seoul's representative housing policy, is historically recognized as a turning point in the housing supply, which had reached a cliff.
At the opening ceremony of the 'Rapid Integrated Planning Exhibition' held at the Seoul Urban Architecture Exhibition Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, Mayor Oh said, "Over the past three years, through Rapid Integrated Planning, supply plans for a total of 88 project sites and approximately 160,000 households within Seoul have been quickly established."
Rapid Integrated Planning was introduced in September 2021 with the purpose of revitalizing redevelopment and reconstruction within Seoul. Its core is to support maintenance projects by shortening complex procedures and providing customized planning for each project site.
At the event, Mayor Oh also presented mayoral commendations to ten individuals who contributed to the establishment of the Rapid Integrated Planning system and the preparation of project plans. The awardees include Professors Koo Ja-hoon and Lee Chang-moo from Hanyang University, Professor Gong Soon-gu from Hongik University, and Shin Chang-hoon, CEO of Unsaengdong Architecture Office, among others.
The exhibition features over 70 works related to Rapid Integrated Planning. The main contents include the process and outcomes of collaboration with residents of the targeted sites, as well as attempts to create a new urban environment. Various related programs are also being held, such as an 'Expert Forum' to share achievements and explore development plans, a 'District Resident Participation Day' to share policies with residents, and expert lectures and discussions on Rapid Integrated Planning for university students.
The exhibition will be open until the 20th of next month. Visitors can attend free of charge without prior registration between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
