On the 30th Anniversary, on the 27th at 5 PM at the 5·18 Archive
Ham Se-woong and Joo Jin-woo Discuss '5·18, and Tomorrow'
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the May 18 Memorial Foundation announced on the 21st that it will hold a talk concert titled "May 18, Asking the Way Again" at 3 p.m. on the 27th in the multipurpose auditorium on the 7th floor of the May 18 Archive.
The event will feature Father Ham Se-woong, a member of the Catholic Priests' Association for Justice who devoted himself to the democratization movement (Chairman of the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Project), and reporter Joo Jin-woo, known as the "Devil Reporter" for his persistent and unique investigative reporting (currently a freelance journalist), as panelists.
Justice Priest Ham Se-woong and Devil Reporter Joo Jin-woo will ask and answer with citizens about the path that "May 18 Gwangju" should take. Marking its 30th anniversary this year, the May 18 Foundation has prepared this talk concert to create a forum for public discourse on May 18.
Won Soon-seok, chairman of the May 18 Memorial Foundation, said, "May 18 should not remain a historical event of the past but become a springboard for future generations to speak their dreams," adding, "The citizens of Gwangju must unite their strength and walk the path of May 18 together."
