The Korea Mold Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Park Hwa-seok) announced on the 21st that it will hold its "20th Anniversary Ceremony" on the morning of the 22nd at the 2nd-floor auditorium in Pyeong-dong Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.


At the ceremony, a vision presentation will be made to newly set the direction of the mold industry, and awards will be given to meritorious individuals such as the Mold Person of the Year. The award for contribution to regional economic development will go to Choi Byung-chul, the full-time vice chairman, and the Mold Person of the Year will be awarded to Kim Bo-gon, CEO of Pistem Co., Ltd. Lee Jung-hyun, vice chairman of the Local Era Committee, and Kim Seong-bong, CEO of Korea Precision, will receive plaques of appreciation, and awards will also be given to outstanding managers and exemplary workers.


Founded with its inaugural general meeting in April 2004, the Korea Mold Industry Promotion Association has focused on expanding the scope and strengthening the competitiveness of the mold industry over the past 20 years.


The association has especially maximized support from the government, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and related organizations to actively pioneer the global mold market through overseas marketing projects and the application of new technologies such as IoT, big data, and AI, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the mold industry.


Representative achievements include the establishment of the Mold Try-Out Center through the first and second phases of Gwangju Mold Industry Promotion, the opening of a Japan office in Tokyo, support for the technological advancement of the composite mold industry, designation of a specialized root industry complex, and implementation of region-customized job creation projects, all of which have contributed to the development of the underprivileged mold industry.
