The 'SNS of the Year' awards ceremony is hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and the Parliamentary Policy Academy, and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Influencer Industry Association. Established in 2015, the awards aim to discover and select institutions that lead active SNS communication and promote a proper SNS usage culture.
The awardees are selected through a quantitative evaluation using the SNS Utilization Index (SNSi) (40%) and expert judging by industry-academia-research professionals (60%).
Since 2015, the Special Zone Foundation has operated an official institutional Facebook channel to promote projects, systems, and achievements for fostering the 'Research and Development Special Zone,' thereby enhancing its brand image.
Especially this year, in line with the popular trend of short-form content, the Foundation held an SNS short-form video contest under the theme 'Introducing the Research and Development Special Zone in 60 Seconds,' creating an interactive communication platform with the public.
Additionally, it continued communication that resonates with people of all ages by providing customized content in various formats such as Insta-toons and policy card news.
Jung Hee-kwon, Chairman of the Special Zone Foundation, said, “This award is a result of recognition for our efforts in producing content tailored to the public’s perspective and operating interactive communication channels. The Special Zone Foundation will continue to strive to further strengthen the brand image of the Research and Development Special Zone and the Foundation itself to leap forward as a global innovation cluster.”
