Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that it will recruit participants for the ‘2025 Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project’ to promote social participation of the elderly for a total of 3 days from December 3 to 5.
The number of participants to be recruited for next year’s project is a total of 2,610, an increase of 143 compared to last year.
Eligible participants are elderly recipients of the basic pension aged 65 or older, while recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security (living expenses), those rated for long-term care (grades 1 to 5), and workplace health insurance subscribers are not eligible to participate.
However, some projects allow participation by basic pension non-recipients aged 60 or older.
The participation period ranges from 10 to 12 months depending on the specific project, and the activity allowance is △ Public Activity Project: 290,000 KRW per month (30 hours of work per month) △ Capacity Utilization Project: 760,000 KRW per month (60 hours of work per month, including weekly holiday allowance) △ Community Project Group and △ Employment Referral Type have wages and hours determined according to the labor contract.
Those wishing to participate should bring their ID card, resident registration certificate (with resident registration number’s last digits shown), a copy of their bankbook, and disability certificate or national veterans registration card (if applicable) and visit the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center (1215 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju City) or the Korea Senior Citizens Association Yangju Branch (1569 Pyeonghwa-ro, Yangju City).
