Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that it will hold a ‘One-Person Household Support Policy Idea Contest’ to improve the quality of life for single-person households until December 5.
This contest covers various topics that can alleviate inconveniences faced by single-person households, such as housing, care, safety, culture, and isolation, and any citizen registered as a resident in the city can participate.
Submitted proposals will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on suitability, creativity, completeness, and applicability.
The selected ideas will be awarded at the ‘Citizen Awards Day’ in January next year, and outstanding proposals chosen from the contest will be reviewed for possible incorporation into the future ‘Yangju City One-Person Household Project.’
Detailed information can be found on the Yangju City website’s public notice section, and submission methods involve downloading the required documents posted in the public notice section and submitting them via email.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “We expect that customized policy ideas for single-person households will be discovered through this contest,” adding, “Yangju City will continue to do its best to improve the quality of life for the increasing number of single-person households and to create a happy city where everyone can live well together.”
